In 2018, an agricultural water tank with an area of 2,000 m² in Tehran was insulated. A black PVC geomembrane with 1.5 mm thickness, along with geotextile, was used for this purpose.

The black geomembrane is considered an ideal choice for insulating agricultural water tanks due to its high resistance to water penetration and long service life. The geotextile is also used as a reinforcement layer to enhance the performance of the insulation system and increase the tank’s durability and stability.
